Word-Filled Wednesday

Provided by heartlight.org.

Don't those grapes look positively amazing!? = )
I'm sure there is a "d" hiding under one of them...
"to the glory and praise of God."
(Sorry...since I didn't create this beautiful image, I can't fix it!)

Philippians
has always been one of my favorite books of the Bible.
I love this particular verse because discernment is so important
to us as believers. Yesterday, I finished the first of two Bible studies
about just that. How I desire to more effectively discern God's voice
in my life! To clearly distinguish between what He wants for me,
and what I want for me. That He would find me pure
and blameless,
filled with the righteousness of Christ! That is my prayer today.

  4. Hi Tracy,
Did you change your header? I guess it has been awhile since I bounced over here for a visit. I love the picture you are sharing today and the verse with it. They are perfect together! I also enjoyed reading your last post about how your husband planted flags and played music for the runners. That is so thoughtful!!

Enjoy your day today and be blessed...

  9. Tracy,

Great photo and verse; especially good for me where I am.

Just trying to take one step at a time and not worry about anything. It will all work out for the better.

We're waiting to hear Jan's results which should be at any time now.

Please pray for my Mom. This is weighing on her pretty heavily. I can see she's somewhat depressed or maybe on her way.

How is Millie? I guess no news is good news!

    Blessings, sweet friend!

  18. I memorized this verse a few years back during a Beth Moore study. The first part talks about our love abounding more and more in knowledge and depth of insight so that we may be able to discern what is best...

One of the most consistent prayers of my heart is that God would pour more of his love into me so that I can better love others. On my best day, it's usually all about me; thus, I need a mighty infusion of my Maker's love in order to be filled with the fruit of true ministry.

I always love coming here, Tracy. And the new header is perfect!!!!

  20. I too love Philippians. James is still probably my favorite but how can we really have favorites as it's all so good.

Yes, to me that would be the ultimate 'arrival'...to be able to confidentally distinguish between what God wants and what I want.

I think it just becomes more effective with time and the more we continue to seek Him...at least that is what I'm trusting.
    Love,
    Paula

  21. I am currently studying Phil on my own (again) I never grow tired of it. I remember thinking this time around how important it is to allow Christ to fill me with the fruit of HIS righteousness. So many times we go about trying to do our own righteousness and create our own fruit, but it is only through Christ that any righteousness can be produced in me.
