Fighting off My-Boy-is-Back-to-College Blues

Hope you're doing well this Monday morning. I must admit to feeling just a little blue today. We enjoyed so much having Brennan home last week, but time together passes quickly these days, and all too soon it's time to say good-bye. (He'll be home on May 20th, which I know is just around the corner, but that good-bye gets me every time!)

Maybe you too could use a bit of cheer this Monday morning. If I haven't wearied you already with flower photos, let me share some from last Friday. Tom and I took a walk to Lytle Park on our lunch hour. It's a beautiful little spot that sits at the far end of downtown Cincinnati, directly in front of the Taft Museum. We visit at least once every spring. The tulip displays are breathtaking!

I love this statue of Abraham Lincoln near the entrance of the park.

That's the Taft Museum of Art in the background,
yet another wonderful place to visit.

Hope these brought a little joy to your morning. Have a great week, friends!

Hello, my Friend!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE tulips too! I think it may be my FAVORITE FLOWER! ☺ Thanks SO MUCH for sharing the pictures.

Now, I'm sorry to hear that you're missing your boy. Man, I can only imagine when that day comes. (I could seriously "tear up" just thinking about it) ☺

Oh, before I go.. I wanted to say a HUGE "THANK YOU" for all of your words of encouragement! I've not been a very good bloggy buddy lately and I'm REALLY SORRY it's taken me so long to respond to your comments. I TRULY APPRECIATE that you prayed for Zach & our family! I'm SO VERY THANKFUL that he's "okay". ☺ I KNOW that GOD uses our prayers to draw us nearer to HIM, but I also believe HE uses them to strengthen our relationships here. So again, thank you, THANK YOU for praying!

I just read your post below on Breezy's wedding plans. I LOVE the necklace! I actually have a couple of personalized necklaces with all 3 of my boys' names on them. I'm still gonna go over and check them out. O;-)

Have a BLESSED week, my Friend!

I know the sadness of goodbyes. Every time I drop my daughter off at the airport, I cry. But, can I tell you, I never tire of the beautiful flower pictures that you share. It serves as a constant reminder to me of God's love and care of me. He shares His creative, artistic beauty with us, to encourage and uplift our lives. Thinking about you on this difficult Monday.

What a gorgeous park and absolutely gorgeous flowers! I'd say spring has sprung!

I know what you mean about having the blues after your son left. My daughter attends college in another state and it's torture for me every time she heads back to college. She'll be home in a few weeks too so I'm counting the days!

Tulips are my favorite flower of all time!!! I loved the pretty pictures...how lucky you are to be able to walk there at lunch time!

Good luck with the Goodwill shopping. I always hit the "linen" bins now but don't always find that perfect jewel. It seems to be hit and miss!

those flowers are beautiful. We don't have many in bloom here in Michigan yet, but they are almost there! YEAH! and friend I so understand how much it hurts to send your kids off, once again. Even though he will be home in May the time between just seems to get longer and longer. My kids live in ND, we just saw them two weeks ago, we all cried when we parted, they won't be home until the last weekend of May. My heart aches! so I understand, yet they are where God wants them and thats the most important. I wouldn't want them anywhere else!

Oh, I'll bet you miss your boy!
I love the first pic by the way, the pink and white tulips. They are heavenly, especially with the sun on them.
