Good News about Millie!

Thanks for your prayers for my Mother-in-law, Millie. I called her last night to ask about the doctor's appointment. She was very happy to tell me she got a good report. Basically, her doctor tells her NO surgery (for now). Apparently, in the course of his exam, he was working on her wound, and it began to bleed (in his words) "very well." He was quite pleased by this because it means some of the blood flow to her lower leg has been restored. She told me (and told her doctor) in the last week, her pain, though still as intense, is coming at less frequent intervals. There seems to be definite improvement! She will still have a home care nurse visit every day to check, clean and redress the wound. The doctor wants to see her again in two weeks, at which time, they will reevaluate what is needed. Her relief and happiness was quite evident. I told her it sounded like answered prayers to me, and she agreed! This, in and of itself is answered prayer! In previous instances, if you told her you were going to pray for her, she would tell you not to bother...that she didn't need them. God definitely seems to be softening her heart, and that fills my heart with much joy! If you would, please continue to pray for her. I'll keep you posted.

Tracy,

What fabulous news! Isn't it great to see God working in many ways. Most definitely I will continue to pray for Millie. No surgery for now is great, but to see God working at softening her heart. That is wonderful. I know your heart has been uplifted as well.

I found out yesterday that a friend's mother has been diagnosed with lung cancer. I think she just turned 50 and is a long time smoker. They don't have all the details, but there is a 3 cm mass that is on her lung and aorta. Surgery, of course is not an option. Her name is Joyce and she is not a Christian. In fact she sounds maybe somewhat like your MIL in the past. Not sure why she feels this way.

It sounds like the cancer is pretty advanced. She has 3 daughters in their late 20's. I'm also going to post on this story later today. But would you pray for her and this family?

Tracy, thanks for the good news on Millie.

Also, Hillsong has a new CD/DVD coming out this week. I was on their website last night and there was a video talking about it and how powerful God has been in their worship and when they have been performing, so more present than befoer. If you want, go listen to this. One of the songs is "God is a Healer" which they have playing.

Take care!
Cheryl

Yes, the spiritual healing is going to be so much more than any physical healing. I've always believed that many times God allows physical illness to allow for spiritual healing.
Lovingly,
Paula

I agree. I love Hillsong.

Here is the link that takes you directly to the video. I've listened to it a few times. It gives me goosebumps each time. I would love to have been there.
