200th Post! It Must be Time for a Giveaway! = )

Blessings on this Monday morning! I'm quite amazed to tell you today marks my 200th post! Who would have thought I would have so much to say!? Since occasions such as this one are special, I'm celebrating with a little giveaway.

First, this darling red apron with polka dots, rick-rack trim and a scalloped edge. Whether you wear it daily as you prepare meals for your family, or save it for a special event, you'll be the cutest cook in town! Next, is a charming decorative plate with a wonderful reminder to "Sweeten Each Day with Love." Don't you love that? What good advice for all of us.

One of the best ways I know to sweeten someones day is to surprise them with a little plate of home-made treats. What kind of treats? (I'm so glad you asked!) Chocolate, of course! How about this sweet little cookbook of all things Chocolate from Gooseberry Patch! Small enough to tuck in your purse, yet loaded with incredibly tasty recipes. Yum!

Please leave me a comment sharing how someone has sweetened one of your days with love...i.e. done something extra special, etc. OR tell me about your favorite chocolate treat. Feel free to enter twice by doing both if you'd like! Send your comments anytime between now and Wednesday night at 6:00 pm Eastern. I'll draw a winner sometime that night. Here's hoping you win! = )

Thank you again for making this journey such a great one. I continually thank God for the friendship, love, encouragement, accountability, terrific ideas and life lessons that come my way through all of you. ((Big Hugs!))

My family showered me with sweets yesterday, Mother's Day, by joinng my husband and I at our Church Service. That was an especially special sweet treat as they are getting older and we don't all worship together anymore...all 5 children ages 14 -27 and my brother worshipped together! Then we went out to lunch, vintage shopping and topped it off with sushi and frozen yogurt! It was an extremely SWEET day! Thanks for adding my name to your giveaway!

Stay Cozy, Carrie

Tracy,

Congrats on the 200th post. Yesterday my hubby grilled steaks and my girls each made me a homemade card for Mother's day. It was a great day.

Congratulations on your 200th post. That is quite an accomplishment. I am still working towards my 100th. What a lovely giveaway you have put together. Sometimes sweet things are small things. In my case, it is that my husband makes my coffee to go off on a timer in the morning and lays out my vitamins next to the coffee maker. As I said it's a small thing, but I love to wake up in the morning to the smell of coffee. I think it's especially sweet of him as he doesn't even drink coffee.

Beautiful blog you have here.

Congratulations on your 200th post... I am almost to my 100th.

Usually I try not to expect too much on special days because it just sets me up for disappointment... but yesterday was such a sweet day for me. All three of my children took their time to do something special for me. My girls... ages 8 and 14, I would expect that. My son... almost 19 years old, went to the all night Walgreens on his way home to purchase me a card and some Dove chocolate. Now... that was a surprise.

What a precious giveaway!1 Thanks so much for the opportunity to win.

Blessings,
Lynn

My husband seems to touch my life in one way or another all the time..whether he's helping me with the boys or letting me sleep in during his days off! He's wonderful and I don't know what I'd do without him!

awesome 200! so cool. Well I was touched this morning by my husbands apology. He came to me and said, with all sincerity, I'm sorry. I didn't understand then he goes onto explain, "I just sorted all the laundry (8family members) and I realized how much time goes into turning all the shirts the right way, pulling out all the sleeves and tee shirts! I am going to talk with the kids tonight and make sure this doesn't happen again." WOW! that floored me and meant more than any gift anyone could purchase for me. He sees all my hard work and fully experienced it this morning.

My husband is deployed to Iraq so I instinctively thought Mother's Day would just be another busy Sunday. When in fact God had it all planned out and boy was I wrong. We went to church and the teaching was just for me. I love when that happens. Then we went to a friends house for a BBQ. How yummy to each such great food and not have to clean up! :) Then we came home. I tucked my 1 year old into bed and asked my 10 year old if he wanted to bake cookies with me. Normally he wants nothing to do with it. But this night he gladly said yes and we had such a beautiful night making cookies. Then as cute as could be he wanted to run around to the neighbors and share fresh baked cookies, so we wrapped them up and I let him deliver them. So here's to my fabulous Mother's Day being sweetened by God, friends, and my beautiful boys!

Happy 200th post. I don't have a great chocolate story...but I did here this on Mother's Day...My pastor grew up in rural Mississippi and candy didn't come their way often. As a young child he suffered from acute asthma...so much so that he couldn't go out into the night air. One Christmas the small town held a Christmas parade and candy was being thrown from the floats. As he looked with tears in his eyes he could see all the other children running around picking up handfuls of candy...then he looked a little closer and in the midst of all the children...was the backside of his mama! She was running and filling her apron with candy too. - I just thought that was so precious. I hope I win because the apron matches my kitchen and I love chocolate. Blessings.

My day has been sweetened a lot lately by my husband.
We recently found out that we are having our first child after wanting one for awhile.
I've been having the normal morning sickness but my life is sweeter because of the child growing in me and by the fact that my husband has been treating me like a queen. He's amazing!

Favorite chocolate treat-
My grandmother used to make this cinnamon chocolate cake that is melt in your mouth good.
I can still see her in the kitchen making it and smell the wonderful aroma of the cake baking.
I now make it when I can and have found that it is really good with diced up strawberries on top.
It just doesn't get any better!

Congrats! I probably missed the deadline but I wanted to say that I think it's awesome that you've reached 200 posts! Hope you had a Happy Mother's Day. Ours was so special. Steve's father honored my MIL for her one year survival of an endoscopy gone wrong and the whole family minus the two grandbabies were there. It was precious. And he footed the bill! Can you imagine blessing your whole family at a fancy schmancy restaraunt that way? Not us. LOL. The thought is nice but no way could we afford it. His love for Steve's Mom is a great model for our marriage.
