Late last summer, I received a pre-release video of the song by Point of Grace called “How You Live.” I immediately fell in love it, and couldn’t wait for the cd release. To my delight, I fell in love with every song. This cd is truly one of my all-time favorites. This week, I’ve rediscovered how much I love it. It’s been playing on my ipod while I walk…Wow! From one song to the next, it is such a joy! And while it's next to impossible to choose a favorite song, the lyrics of two are especially dear to me…
Any Way
Setting out, what a child, my steps ahead of mind
Not a doubt, 'til You knocked me off my paradigm
Simple me, only trying to see You in the stained glass
I walked right past the unexpected
Chorus
Anyway You want to show me
All Your glory
Anywhere You choose to speak
Tell Your story
In the low or lofty places
Strangers faces
Anywhere
Any way
Doubt that I would have found You there in Bethlehem
No surprise, You changed the world through fishermen
Good to know You would go so far to finally get through
That's just like You, and so unlike me
Repeat Chorus
In the alley, on the rooftop
At the end of a rocky road, You don't stop
On a mountain, in a rainstorm
In the eyes of a mother with her newborn
In the back pew, at the altar
At the well where You gave the woman water
In the chaos, in the holy
In the darkness, anywhere a heart beats
Anywhere a heart beats
Repeat Chorus
This is so often my prayer because I don’t want to miss God’s glory! I want Him to open my eyes to each and every glimpse He places in my life!

and then this one...
Heal the Wound
I used to wish that I could rewrite history
I used to dream that each mistake could be erased
Then I could just pretend
I never knew me back then
I used to pray that You would take this shame away
Hide all the evidence of who I've been
But it's the memory of
the place You brought me from
That keeps me on my knees
And even though I'm free
Chorus
Heal the wound but leave the scar
A reminder of how merciful You are
I am broken, torn apart
Take the pieces of this heart
And heal the wound but leave the scar
I have not lived a life that boasts of anything
I don't take pride in what I bring
But I'll build an altar with
The rubble that You've found me in
And every stone will sing
Of what You can redeem
Repeat Chorus
Don't let me forget
Everything You've done for me
Don't let me forget
The beauty in the suffering
Repeat Chorus
How I can identify with these lyrics! While there are certainly things I wish I could change and/or forget, it’s in the remembering that I see how God has changed my life. He has made beautiful from my broken. I pray He never lets me forget what I was like without Him.
While this is definitely not a new release, it’s possible there are some of you who don’t have it, or maybe have a friend who would enjoy it…whatever the case, I’ve decided to give one away! I just know it will be a joy and blessing to you! Just leave a comment. I’ll draw a winner sometime tomorrow night (Saturday) between 6:00 and 9:00 pm (EST).

I posted on music today too! ...must be something in the air :)
Point of Grace...now that brings back some memories. I haven't kept up with them since their first album.
Loving the music lyric theme goin' on! These are great songs! I have not heard much from Point of Grace's new album, but am now inspired to! :)
Glad you shared this!
Tracy...I cannot believe...yes, I do believe...we both love Point of Grace
I have old music and nothing new of them except a few that I download... but I so enjoyed hear from a new CD.
I went right away to hear these and the others and like yesterday, almost forgot to leave a comment. My week has been a rollercoaster...from my high with YOU & Cheryl blessing me doublefold to some very lows and much tears (that we won't talk about:()
But this was the frosting on my cake and also the 2 emails I chose to read first this a.m. even before My DAILY MANNA (oops) yours and Cheryl!!! It's so nice to share!
You won't believe but I have a book
(and I don't have many with me)(*my music has much more of my space this past year but now I rely on my laptop)about POINT OF GRACE by them as a devotional from "Steady ON...secured by love!!!" tour. I would love to have more books like this. It's from The Artist's Devotional Series! You can tell my mind is scattered!
Anyways, I meant to reply to your email but since I was here...
thanks!
This so ministered to me! This was the first song I clicked to hear
HEAL THE WOUND
OOOHHH Tracy...bless you, bless
you!
ANYWAY sounds like my life!
How I love music! What a ministry these women have and share!
Are you melancholy or hurting or simply enjoying? What a blessing YOU ARE!!! I think I'll start listening to more Point of Grace!
I need some...and I feel your love!
I so love this cd! My family and I are working on singing "You Are Good" for a church special soon.
This is a fantastic cd! Thanks for sharing the words to this song.
I too LOVE this album (dated myself there didn't I). My husband and I were lucky enough to hear Poin of Grace at a free concert on the Waterfront in Louisville in April. It was almost like we were all friends there, very close to stage, all of us in our lawn chairs. Heather lives in Louisville we found out. Enjoyed you blog. LINDA
No, I don't have it. Yes, I've been wanting to get it. So, count me in the drawing.
peace~elaine
Tracy,
I have this CD and love it. I think my favorite is Heal the Wound! I'm going to have to go back and listen to all.
Have a great weekend!
Cheryl
I'm so blessed Tracy! And wish I had it to listen to today! I spent my whole day listening to Point of Grace cassette and tried to discipline my time on the internet!
I owe so many people a comment!!!
I will be there...it just takes time! Thanks for the special drawing! I usually am not part! Since I live out of the USA but I have a USA residence...not too worry! I sent in an email. I listened to all those little samples and also their myspace.
It's next to impossible for me to get Christian music in English here and I usually don't have time or money when I make my annual trip home! But I live in my van for 5 days each way listening and satuating myself with music and Christian stations when I get in USA! I always plug in my CD player with good Christian music when crossing through the checkpoints between each state in Mexico. Even though it's English, it's a good witness and they usually wave me through...God us GOOD all of the time..and He has used YOU in the beginning and end of this week to really bless me!!! THANKS!This is MY FIRST! May God pour into your cup overflowingly!Bless you as you continually bless me and I love your comments on my blog posts!w
