Two years ago, just a couple of weeks after my blogging journey began, I found my way to a very special place...Peace for the Journey. With the first post, Elaine had me. What a gift of expression! Just as quickly as I fell in love with her style of writing, I fell in love with her heart for God (both of which are extraordinary!) I've often said since then, the words that flow from her pen are truly anointed, and I mean that with all my heart! As the wife of a Pastor and devoted Mom to four, her real life provides the inspiration behind her posts. She weaves a story like few others but all the while, pointing you straight to the source, the one who unmistakeably owns her heart, the Giver of all Peace...Christ.
Well...I'm overjoyed to tell you...today she is celebrating the release of her book, Peace for the Journey: In the Pleasure of His Company. Can I just tell you... I cannot wait to get my copy! I've already thought of a friend or two I'd like to bless with one, as well. In fact, one of you will be blessed with a signed copy! Simply leave a comment anytime between now and Thursday at midnight (Eastern time). I'll draw and announce the winner on Friday.
If you'd rather not wait (or you want more than one copy), take a moment and watch the trailer below, then follow the link for ordering information.

Just Gotta Share It...
Greetings! Hope this Monday finds you well! I just had to take a minute to share with you something I received last week from Judy of Just a Little Something for You. I was one of the blessed recipients of her "Pay-it-Forward." Is this not the cutest apron you have ever seen!?
It was made by her very talented sister-in-law, Julia. Apparently a couple of months ago, she and Judy were chatting about being empty nesters. They were mulling over different options of things they might do at this stage of their life. Judy suggested that maybe Julia should start sewing again. (For many years she had been an exceptional seamstress, and even made clothes for her children when they were young. As they became teenagers, her sewing was put on the back burner.) Needless to say, Julia took Judy’s advice and literally ran with it. Within weeks, she had created a number of these beautiful aprons, all with matching tea towels! (Something tells me this might be a small business in the making!) I absolutely LOVE this, Judy…thank you again so much! ☺

She herself is loaded with it! Pour yourself a cup of coffee and take a visit to her blog and you’ll see exactly what I mean. She is a "Joy Spreader" in every sense of the word! She loves making everyday moments special with a favorite dish, a handmade creation or a bit of inspiration. Most importantly, she loves the Lord and does everything with such grace and humility. She is truly an absolute joy to know! I do hope you’ll stop by and see for yourself!
Have a blessed day, friends!

Just Gotta Share It...
Welcome to what may become a regular feature! I want to share with you some of my current favorites and though they may seem a bit random, I think you'll see a common thread.
Although I don't watch much tv, I've come to love most of the T-mobile commercials. This one is my all-time favorite. Need a giggle this morning? Check it out...

LOL...still cracks me up. And speaking of "Super Delicious," here's yet another current favorite.

Hostess 100 Calorie Packs in Chocolate. There are several other flavors (some of which I've tried), but they all run a distant second to the chocolate (in my book, anyway). These petite little cupcakes (about the size of a thick cookie) are yummy! Best of all, check out the nutritional stats! 5g of fiber! For those of you on Weight Watchers, guess what!? One pack of these (that's all three mini cupcakes) is only 1 point! How's that for some sweet news on a Monday?? They are pricey at our local grocery, but I've found them at Walmart or the Hostess outlet for $2.50. If you want to check them out (and I highly recommend it!), here's a coupon that will save you .75 cents!
On the topic of smart choices and weight loss, have you heard what's been going on with Mandisa? She's been on a journey with Christ to get healthier since last August and she's doing great! She's lost 75 pounds so far and on her way to 100. Have you heard her new song -- My Deliverer? Wow, is it fantastic! It's the first release from her new CD called Freedom (in stores tomorrow - 3/24 or downloadable from iTunes now!) These songs celebrate freedom through Christ, to conquer that which holds us back from being all He wants us to be. For her, that meant breaking through a life-long food addiction, and she gives all glory to God. This immediately struck a chord with me because of my own weight loss journey with the Lord. I could not wait to load this one on my iPod...talk about passion and praise! No wonder it's my favorite song right now! Whatever your battle today, this song delivers a heaping dose of encouragement, inspiration and empowerment through Christ. I'm off to play it again (and again and again!) = )
That's all for this edition. Hope you've enjoyed these favorites. Hope your Monday is a wonderful, praise-filled, "super-delicious" day! ; )
