Thankful Thurdsay!

Greetings to you on this Thursday morning! This week finds me thankful for…

Millie's continued improvement. She told me 4th of July was the first day she had NO pain in her leg for the first time since mid-May! The home care nurse still comes each day, but the wound is definitely healing. The nurse told her not to get her hopes up…that she still may need surgery because there is still a blockage. She sees her doctor tomorrow. I told her we would continue to pray!

♥ relief for my son. He started working in early May for my brother-in-law’s commercial landscape and lawn care company. He was one of only three employees (including my brother-in-law). The business is doing very well, which meant many 12-15 hour workdays…hard workdays in the sun and heat. In the last week, my brother-in-law has hired three additional employees, which has made a world of difference! Instead of getting home at 9 or 10:00 at night, my son has been home by 5 or 6:00 (in time for dinner)! What a blessing!

♥the wonderfully relaxing holiday weekend! I spent lots of time just resting and hanging out with my hubby and son. In between the resting, I was able to get caught up on a number of organizational chores around the house, and that always brings me peace.

♥ A successful wrap-up on Tuesday of “He Speaks to Me,” our current office Bible study. We all agree is has been one of our most impacting studies…ever! (I highly recommend it!) Though a smaller group of ladies have taken part in this study, God is building some beautiful relationships through this smaller, more intimate group.

♥ The news of the birth of Katherine Lily "Kate" Jones, daughter of our precious friends (and former youth pastor) Mark and Andrea Jones, now missionaries to Ireland. Andrea’s last pregnancy ended in a miscarriage, so this was especially sweet. Click here if you’d like to read Andrea’s post on their blog about this blessed event.

♥ As always, this week also finds me thankful for you, my blog sisters! It never ceases to amaze me the outpouring of blessings I receive daily from you!

May this Thursday find you thankful…
Tracy

Hi, Tracy. I'm so glad to hear that Millie continues to do well. I was just thinking/praying for her this morning and was going to ask when I visited today for Thankful Thursday. I'll be praying for her visit with the dr. tomorrow.

I love that you're doing office Bible Studies! I think that would be so wonderful.. maybe something I need to pray about for my office.

Have a blessed Thankful Thursday!

Tracy,

I'll continue to pray God's will for Millie re: surgery and just praying that she sees that He is there and wants to accept Him in her life.

There are not many young people who would work like Brennan has this summer. I'm glad they have additional help.

I'm going to check this Bible Study out. I've been hearing some great things about it.

You truly are such a blessing to me!

Hi Tracy,

I always love when I have the time to peek into your heart.

Glad your son has less hours working. That's hard on even the younger adults. Too much labor in the hot sun makes for tired men..

I've heard great things about that Bible study too. Maybe I can lead a small group at my church to get it started here. One of my dear friends here lead the study at her church in the spring. I'm not sure we've offered it yet.

Babies are always reason to be thankful. Precious new life. Innocent and needy. So easy to love. Such a miracle.

Glad you got organized and rested. I feel the same peace when I am able to do that.

Thanks for commenting on my boat thoughts this week. I will be adding another post within the next few days about this. A new angle. It won't leave me so that means I need to write it.

Enjoy summer!
