Thankful Thursday

Today, my heart is overwhelmed with thanks and love for you. My blog and e-mail inbox has been flooded with kind words, prayer and encouraging scriptures, since sharing our need earlier this week. Quite a number of them came from those who were introducing themselves for the first time! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, God is so good to me through you! My husband, who didn’t even know yet about the post (or your many kind words) even expressed he now has peace. This is not to say there won’t be many tears as we say good-bye, or some difficult days, but that dread and heart heaviness we were both feeling has lifted. I feel certain your prayers helped us through the period of “Acceptance.”

You must also know my heart is so grateful that in the most important of all ways, Brennan is ready for this. That’s huge! He may forget some of what we've taught him about doing laundry, or balancing a checking, but his heart for God has never been stronger or more prepared. His passion is a joy to see. Throughout his young life, he has seen God do some amazing things, so He places no limits on Him (that I and many others are sometimes inclined to do). He has some God-sized dreams that he awaits with much hope. Tom and I pray God will use him greatly, and believe with all our hearts that He will. Words can’t even express the joy and peace that gives.

Once again, many thanks…for your love, friendship, prayers and encouragement. "For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers."
~Ephesians 1:15-16

Hugs,
Tracy

Oh Tracy, I missed the earlier post requesting prayers. Just know - I have stopped and prayed for all of you. This is a tough time without a doubt. Your baby spreading his wings. I know the Lord has many wonderful adventures in store for the three of you.
With much love in Christ,
K

I don't know what I would do without the encouragement and kind words of my friends. Glad our prayers were heard and felt by your family!

I'm so blessed God had covered you with His amazing love and peace. Your hubby too.

It will get better with time.

Meanwhile, I'm blessed you were blessed!!

You've sown so much love and kindness in our lives, it was YOUR TURN to recieve it back.

Hey,

This is really great! I'm sure you have already got this or thought of at least. But, when Jan had her treatment in Houston, we got webcams for her and us, so we could see her when we talked to her. You can set this up on your computer and talk for free. The webcams we got at Walmart for next to nothing.

It is not the same as Brennan being at home, but you'll still be able to see him

Blessing Tracy and Praise God! How awesome that the Lord immediately supplied your need for peace and uplifted your spirits to help your son going off to college as a new life journey of greatness that he is ready for...you have taught him well!

Release Brennan with joy as Our Heavenly Father now takes over!

Your thank you blesses my heart, your words at my TT for Nancie encourage me as usual but I wrote my most recent post with a heavy heart but Our Lord is never late to lift us up and send us on His way!

In Christ,
Peggy

Praising the Lord with you for His goodness and thanking Him for the peace.

Cheryl has a good idea with the web cams. My dad talks to family in the Philippines for free what would cost hundreds of dollars in phone bills. Heck, you'll also be able to share your unpleasant bed head looks, pjs and all. :-) smiling.

I finally posted today whenever you get a chance to visit.

Thank God for answering prayers for you and family, Tracy! Praying that God's peace continue to be with you and hubby as you look to Him together. It is very encouraging to read that Brennan's heart for God has never been stronger or more prepared. May God continue to keep him near to Himself and bless and provide for his every need. May he continue to grow as a man after God's own heart and may God use him mightily! Thanks for your prayers and encouragements. Take care and may God bless you and family abundantly!
