The familiar words of Psalm 118:24 remind us of a profound yet simple truth: “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” (KJV). For Christian believers, every day begins and ends with God and His Son. Christ came to this earth to give us abundant life and eternal salvation. We give thanks to our Maker when we treasure each day and use to the fullest.
Today, may we give thanks for this day and for the One who created it.

Today is mine. Tomorrow is none of my business. If I peer anxiously into the fog of the future, I will strain my spiritual eyes so that I will not see clearly what is required of me now. ~ Elisabeth Elliot
Encouragement one another daily as long as it is called today. ~ Hebrews 3:13 (NIV)
Commitment to His lordship on Easter, at revivals, or even every Sunday is not enough. We must choose this day -- and every day -- whom we will serve. This deliberate act of the will is the inevitable choice between habitual fellowship and habitual failure. ~ Beth Moore

This is the day that You have given me, Lord. Let me be thankful, and let me use it according to your plan. I praise You, Father, for the gift of life and for the friends and family members who make my life rich. Enable me to live each moment to the fullest, totally involved in Your will. Amen.

Thanks so much for this post, Tracy! I've not been looking forward to this week much (issues at work to deal with) and I've been praying along this same line since yesterday afternoon. This has given me some much needed extra encouragement.
Have a great Monday!
Excellent reminder! I am glad that I visited your page early...enough time to be reminded how to spend the rest of my day!
Thank you for today's treasure,

I love this post! I think I need to print it and read it every morning before I start my day... sometimes we just need to be reminded that each day is a gift... it is not a to-do list, and we need to savor and enjoy it as we would a gift.
Thank you so for sharing this... I pray you have had a wonderful day!
Blessings!
This is something I try to practice. I have to admit, it's not always easy. Thanks for posting this...it helps to know I have a fellow Christian walking with me in this process.
Most every morning as I was growing up, my mother would quote this verse to each of us "This is the day the Lord hast made. We will rejoice and be glad in it." Then she would tell us that today is a gift from God...use it wisely. Oh, how her words rang in my ears as I read your post today. Even though we did not always care to hear it, she was right. Thank you Tracy for the kind reminder.
I loved this post... and I loved the quotes you put with your post. Yes, this is the day that the Lord has made! Today was a day that was full of blessing for me... God reminded me of His promise to never leave me and to provide for me all I need.
Thank you for this wonderful post!
This was all just so inspiring! Your choice of a picture to go with your words was excellent. I went back and stared at the dew drops 3 times before I commented! I enjoyed the quotes also and especially liked the first one. Very good words for today....
I needed this post today! It's never too late to start the day anew in Jesus!
Thank you!
Joye
AMEN!
I absolutely love this quote:
"Today is mine. Tomorrow is none of my business. If I peer anxiously into the fog of the future, I will strain my spiritual eyes so that I will not see clearly what is required of me now. ~ Elisabeth Elliot"
Thanks for your gracious heart. Love you.
Amen
