I'm happy to say the winner of Giveaway # 2 is...
Unlike many of my blog buddies, I have the distinct privilege of knowing Kristin in "real life!" = ) In fact, I've known her for many years...probably back to her elementary days when they moved to our area. Later, she was in my middle school small group. That's when I really got to know her best. She is among Brennan & Breezy's closest friends and in fact, can be seen in their wedding photos! She is a lovely and very talented young woman, currently pursuing a degree in photography. She's done some really exciting and wonderful things in addition to photography, from working with Compassion Internation, designing graphic artwork for various organizations and even creating web sites, working closely with people like Bethany Dillon! Pretty impressive for a 20-year-old! The best part? She's one of the most humble souls I've ever met. Once again...Congrats Kristin! = ) Please take a moment and stop by her blog.
Now...onto the next giveaway!
A beautiful assortment of 24 all occassion notecards. Birthday, thank you, sympathy, and "just because." These are especially decorative, charming little cards, perfect to keep "on hand."
AND
A wonderful candle by Bridgewater Candle Company called "White Cotton." Reminds me of freshly laundered clothing fresh from the clothesline...a perfect fragrance for spring & summer!
Are you like me, do you just love going to your mailbox finding an unexpected card or letter from a friend? Don't get me wrong, I love technology and use e-mail and e-cards regularly, but I still love to both send and receive paper cards...especially when they're unexpected. = ) Taking just a few moments to send a card could make such a difference in someone's day. (If you've been blessed in this way, I suspect you know just what I mean.) We're even told in Scripture, "encourage one another daily, while it is still today." Hebrews 3:13. Won't you join me in looking for an opportunity to bless someone unexpectedly?
Leave a comment sharing something kind or encouraging someone has done for you, or something you plan to do (or have done in the past) for someone else. In doing so, you might give the rest of us some really good ideas! I read last year about a woman who decided to bless the person behind her at Starbucks by paying for their coffee at the drive-up window. That person continued the blessing, as did the next one and the next one. It carried on for over an hour! Can you imagine!? Let's go forth and bless someone today!
Giveaway will remain open until midnight (Eastern Time) Wednesday (3/10). Winner will be drawn then and announced on Thursday morning! Here's hoping you win! = )

I'll have to go check out Kristin's blog!! Thanks.
And I just sent my daughter in law a gift card for maternity clothes as they just told us she is expecting. She was thrilled to find the note in the mail!
Also, I'm with you in that writing a note is not hard, and such a sweet surprise. I will send a few out today!
Thanks for the inspiration!

Yes, it is fun to surprise someone with a little gift or card. We were so blessed to receive card after card during Rachel's diagnosis and surgery. I've tried to carry our new tradition on to others. Lea blessed me right before Valentine's Day and I had so much fun surprising her last week. Happy bloggy birthday! You are a treasure!
I'm very much like that Tracy. I love to receive actual hand written notes and surprises, and I enjoy doing that for others as well.
I actually bought a couple of post cards to put in the mail today for a young girl that I mentor through our school system. She is a 4th grader.
The last time I was encouraged was last night, I received a text from a young wife that I mentor and out of the blue she said....you have been and are a great example of who I hope to become in Christ. Thank you and I love you. WOW...what a compliment, because I know the pit Christ pulled me from.
What a great give-a-way.
Love YOU!
I'm with you on getting cards in the mail...makes the day so much better! Seems like they are fewer now of days, let's bring it back! ha ha...
My fave scent is linen/cotton! God Bless you!
Aw, thanks, Tracy. You're the sweetest! <3
Congratulations to Kristin! I know her day was blessed with that news. And your creativity has lead you to another beautiful and useful giveaway. Cards are a way I do feel like one can encourage and support others. You said it so perfectly.
This week I received a box, totally unexpectedly, from my middle SIL's mother. Just a special gift of porcelain flowers for my kitchen counter. I was so blessed by that!!! Little things can mean so very much.
I received a bracelet from a friend at work. She saw it and thought of me. Wasn't that the sweetest thing?!
Lovin' this giveaway! So count me in.
I was at the library once when I was younger. It was my sister and me and we were outside in the dark waiting for our mom to get us as the library was closing. a lady came and gave us a blanket since it was chilly. she gave it to us and left us with it. so sweet.

A blessing in the mail is sooo much fun and a real pick me up! Kristi sent me the most wonderful package last week and the thought she put into it all just made me feel loved all over. Receiving a hand written note and just knowing someone out there "cares," is such a blessing.
You've blessed me umpteen times also and I just thank GOD for the gift of FRIENDSHIP. Reading your post today, is a wonderful reminder to BLESS... others.
smoochy holykisses my dear friend
